UBUNTU GROUP EXPERIENCE
This is a group art experience recommended if you need to get reconnected back into your own flow. In this workshop you will experience the spirit of Ubuntu for yourself. One of our African ways is called 'Ubuntu' – I am because you are. 'I feel human when you take my hand and look me in the eyes, that it a greater gift than food or shelter.' (anonymous) When one is truly seen both the seer and the seen are transformed. The heart of Ubuntu is the connectedness that exists between people. And the kind acts they do for each other. A person who behaves in these ways has Ubuntu. He or she is a full person. Ubuntu is a soul force – an actual metaphysical connection shared between people, which helps us connect to each other. Ubuntu will push us towards doing loving acts of kindness. Ubuntu and the end of Apartheid: In the 1990s, the sense of connectedness appealed more and more to South Africans as they turned away from the separation and devastation that was caused by the Apartheid regime.
